It’s more common than not for kids to be picky about what they’ll eat, especially when it comes to fruits and vegetables.  This can be stressful as a parent because we want our kids to be as healthy as possible, but it makes it difficult when we can’t get them to eat the things that will make them healthy.

This becomes increasingly concerning because we want our kids to be eating (fed is best, right?) but when the only things they’re willing to eat are things that are not particularly healthy it creates stress for us worrying about whether or not they’re getting enough of the proper nutrition for their growing little bodies.

Being averse to healthy things when they’re little can sometimes make it harder to get them to be open to healthy things when they’re older, so they may go through their teenage years living off of twinkies and french fries and then struggling in adulthood when they do decide they want to start making healthier choices.

As a mom of 4, I am very familiar with the struggles of having picky eaters.  Yes, even us Nutritionists have to deal with little ones that refuse to eat the healthy things we prepare for them.  Throughout those picky eating years with my kids, I developed tricks and strategies to get them to be more open to healthier options, and I’m so excited to share them with you.
